Get More Customers From Your Health and Fitness Articles By Properly Using Keyword Frequency.

Using Keyword Frequency properly will help optimize your Fitness Center website content and improve your Google ranking.

It is important to use keyword frequency to drive more traffic to your site. The definition of keyword frequency is the number of times your keyword phrase appears in your article.

The rule of thumb is to use each keyword phrase 3 times throughout your health and fitness article. If your article is longer than 600 words then using your keywords more often is recommended.

A typical fitness article might have 3 keyword phrases.  So your keyword frequency would equal 9 times throughout the article.

Here is an example of how it can be implemented into your health and fitness website content.

(example) 3 keyword phrases for your article.

1) “Best personal trainer in Los Angeles”

2) “Most experienced female personal trainer in LA”

3) “Most popular baby boomer personal trainer in Los Angeles.”

When writing your article you need to include these 3 phrases three times each throughout the article.

Now here is the trick to good Fitness writing.  You want to write for the reader first and the search engines second.  And be sure to write like you would speak.

A successful article must drive traffic to your site and convert potential fitness center members into paying clients.  If you write the article simply to get your keyword phrases mentioned three times then you will not convert new customers.  Even though you increase traffic to your site.

So a neat little secrete is you don’t have to use your keyword phrase 3 times as a complete phrase.  Let me explain what this means.

You can use the complete phrase once; “When we are looking to hire a new trainer to add to our staff we are looking for the best personal trainer in Los Angeles. Because getting the optimal results for our client is our number one concern.”

Then throughout the rest of your article just be sure the WORDS in each keyword phrase appear 2 more times.  The search engine spiders will get the point and rank you high for your keyword phrases.  This means the word best must be in your article 2 more times. Personal trainer, 2 more times.   And Los Angeles, 2 more times.

Lets look at some more examples of how this works in Health Club marketing.

Keyword phrase #2:  “The female client is a very important customer to us so we made sure we hired the most experienced female personal trainer in LA.”

Keyword phrase #3: “37% of our fitness center customer base is made up of men and women over 50.  And we have the most popular Baby Boomer personal trainer in Los Angeles.”

So, after you get these 3 complete phrases written into your Health and Fitness articles just scatter the other words within your sentences.

Since the word Los Angeles was already used in 2 of your phrases you only need to use it one more time.  Just because a word was used in another complete keyword phrase does not mean it wont count as one of your three times towards other phrases.

Personal trainer has already been used 3 times in the three phrases so no concern there.  Now use experienced 2 more times. Baby boomer 2 more times, and so on. You get the picture.

A good writer is going to write the article first and be sure to get all the ideas in the content.  Then in the editing phase is where the keyword frequency is optimized.

Remember write good content first.  Then optimize for the search engines second.  Because Google is not going to buy a Health Club membership at your Fitness Center.
