Your Gym Website Needs To Build Links. But Avoid These 6 Mistakes.

1) It’s okay to let websites with a Google page rank of 0 link back to your Fitness Center Website. Don’t make this mistake like most other websites do.

Too many Webmasters think a link from a page rank 0 is bad for business.  But the new research shows this to be a bad strategy in the long run.

You can’t always control who back links to your fitness center website anyway.  You should not care who links back to your fitness website.  You should try to get as many back links to your website as possible.  That website with a page rank 0 today, can be a page rank 4 in a year or less.  It also looks natural to Google when you have many more low authority sites pointing to your site than all high Page Rank websites.

 2)   Don’t forget to trade for Reciprocal Links on your fitness center website.

3)   Be sure to check up on your link partners once a month.

Do not fail to monitor your link partners.  You want to make a list of your link partners and keep on top of your links like you would your bank account.   You need to be sure your reciprocal back links are still there.

Some of your link partner sites will close down.  Some of them will be purchased by someone else.  Some websites change topics and some webmasters will just take your reciprocal link down once you put up a link to them.

4)   Be sure to Link Out to Authority sites from your Fitness Center Website.

Google expects to see OUT-LINKS.  This is a natural look to the search engines.  This is good for your rankings, not bad. By definition a Link-out, is where your fitness center website has a link out to another website.  But that website is not linking back to your website.

5) Use Anchor Text in the Link Back to your Fitness Center Website.

Whenever it is possible you want to negotiate an Anchor text in the link that comes back to your Health Club website.

Many of the top professional search engine optimization experts agree that anchor text in a backline is the second most important OFF-PAGE ranking factor.   It has been said that only relevancy and authority of the website page you are getting the backline from, is more important.

6) Just Be Sure You Do Not Fail to Build Links to your Health Club Website.

This will pull up a list of all the websites that are linking to this site.  Then contact all of those websites and simply ask to exchange links to your Health Club website.
